Funding & Support
Salaam Institute is proudly powered by the community, for the community.
How we are funded
The Salam Institute is an Australian non-profit organisation. It is a public company limited by guarantee and it is established exclusively for charitable purposes.
The Salaam Institute, as part of the Crescent Club, was established in the year 2000 through the support of the Salaam Foundation.
The Institute raises the remainder of its funds from:
-
Membership and sponsorships from private sector and government entities.
-
Grants from the Australian Government.
-
Subscriptions and ticket sales for events.
-
Philanthropic donations from private individuals.
Some of our more prominent supporters and funders of the Institute are Western Sydney University, KPMG, TLC Age Care, EHP and the Rehman Sherrif Group.
We gratefully acknowledge all our funding partners who are diverse. Their support sustains the Institute and ensures the Institute is able bring independent, powerful ideas and conversations to the forefront.
