A Journey Built on Faith

Twenty-five years ago, an idea took root on a university campus: that the Australian Muslim community deserved institutions of its own - built on faith, and built to last. That idea became the Salaam Institute. It grew into the Salaam Foundation's community and philanthropic work, and grew again into a nationally trusted Shariah-compliant superannuation and finance offering.

Our Story

It started small - a university-based initiative built on a simple conviction: that faith and financial progress don't have to be at odds. From there, that conviction became the Salaam Institute, then grew into the community and philanthropic work of the Salaam Foundation, and expanded again into Shariah-compliant superannuation and finance. Three pillars, one foundation. Each was built the same way - on trust, earned one member, one family, one generation at a time. Together, they've grown into the Salaam Group we are today.

A Night to Remember, A Journey Still Unfolding

In May 2026, more than 300 members of our community - leaders, partners, families and long-time friends - came together at CommBank Stadium to mark this milestone. It was a night of reflection and gratitude, but more than that, it was a reminder of everything a community can build when it holds onto its values.
