The Salaam Institute, in partnership with the Islamic Museum of Australia, hosted a special evening with Moustafa Fahour OAM, exploring “The Untold Story Behind the Islamic Museum of Australia.”

The night began with an exclusive private tour of the Museum, where guests discovered the rich history and contributions of Muslims in Australia. This was followed by an inspiring fireside chat moderated by Tasneem Chopra OAM, where Moustafa shared his personal journey — from the vision that sparked the creation of the Museum to the challenges and triumphs of turning it into a nationally recognised institution.

Guests were deeply moved by Moustafa’s reflections on faith, leadership, and legacy, and the importance of creating spaces that celebrate Australian Muslim identity. The evening concluded with networking over drinks and finger food, offering a wonderful opportunity for connection and conversation among community members, professionals, and leaders.
